Nyx : Soft Matte Lip Cream SMLC02 Stockholm + X2 Chic Blue Circle Lens

Sunday, August 31, 2014

Happy Sunday butters, are you going anywhere this weekend? I always try to make my weekend as relaxing as possible as the weekdays are always so hectic. Next week will be the last week of my long holiday and I feel like I'm really excited to embrace the new semester and at the same time I just don't want to move on from the freedom holidays give me. Haha, you know how I feel? Anyway, today I'll be reviewing about two things. Lip cream from Nyx and circle lens from X2.

1. Before (with Etude House Lip Concealer); 2. Fully applied (Indoor light); 3. Fully applied (Outdoor light)Pros :
1. Perfect colour and texture for daily wear
2. Smells nice
3. Not drying

4. Long lasting
5. Easy to apply

Cons :
1. Accentuate lip lines if your lips are dry
2. A little white residue at the center after some time

Overall this lip cream is very practical, it's easy to apply, moreover for its natural colour and matte texture, you can wear it for any occasion. The white residue only appears when I don't moisturize my lips thoroughly. And this product only leaves a little stain on glass, straw, spoon etc. again, because of its matte texture. I really love this lip cream, I definitely recommend you to buy this.

It claims to be made in Korea (cool)
45% polyhema, 55% water content, diameter 15mm

Indoor light
Outdoor light
Pros :
1. Vivid color
2. Wide eyes effect
3. Not irritating

Cons :
1. Not comfortable (on 1st wear)

When I first put on this lens, It really irritates my eyes, making them red and it feels really uncomfortable. It's like there's plastics in your eyes. But, this only happened at the first time I wore it, the second time I wore it my eyes have already gotten used to it although it still feels like there's something in your eyes, only the feel is less bugging and I still can bear it. I really love the vivid blue colour that really stands out and it also make your eyes appear bling-bling, like there's diamond in your eyes. The diameter is too big for me, though. Overall, I say this lens is ok.

Thanks for reading, butters. I hope you find this helpful.
Don't hesitate to leave comments and follow me.

Lancome : Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara

Friday, August 29, 2014

Hello, butters! Today my review is about Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara. It comes with 4 different shades which are so black, black so black, so brown, and ruby. I'm not sure which shade I'm reviewing, but it's definitely black. So, here I go with the review below.

Below are what they claim on Lancome website :

Watch lashes turn into a doll-eyed look with Lancôme’s Hypnôse Doll Eyes. Evenly coats lashes without weighing them down. A must-have mascara to create beautiful lashes that look extended and lifted. Sweep on using our cone shaped brush and watch your eyes transform into a dazzling wide-eyed look.

Benefits
Extended and lifted lash look, wide eyed look, doll eyes effect

Application
Our unique cone shaped brush ensures the ideal load with each application, even in the inner corner of the eyes. Apply your mascara from the base of your lashes working through to the tips, in zigzag movements, for maximum coverage.

1. Before; 2. After, No curl; 3. After, Curled

Pros :
1. Smudgeproof.
2. Really long lasting.
4. Curling and lifting.
5. Adds length and volume.
6. Removable by only water and face wash.
7. Easy to remove.

Cons :
1. Not waterproof.

Althought it's not waterproof, this cons is actually good news for they who really don't prefer some complicated face-cleaning routine (count me in) for this mascara can be thoroughly removed by using just water and your regular facewash, or you can use your 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 or etc in 1 face cleaner too (with very light effort too). As you can see it also adds thickness and volume and quite the dolly eyes effect too. It does give your eyes the wide-eyed look. Overall, I love this mascara so much (mostly because it's easy to remove) and I say don't hesitate if you're thinking to buy it.

I hope you find this review helpful.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
See you next post~

Topshop : Lipstick The Damned

Sunday, August 24, 2014

Hello, again butters. I haven't been able to update my blog recently because it's been really busy in the house. My grandmother got into the hospital, so I have to help my mom with more chores at home. Anyway, today I will be reviewing about the lipstick from Topshop in The Damned which is a magenta (purple-pinkish) colour.

1. Before (with Etude House Lip Concealer); 2. Applied only in center (Indoor light); 3. Fully applied (Indoor light); 4. Fully applied (Outdoor light)
2
3
4
Pros :
1. Very moisturizing
2. Not drying (obviously)
3. Smells nice
4. Really really long lasting, even after I had my lunch it was still there
5. Very pigmented

Cons :
1. Hard to find in my area
2. No other cons

For only $16, this lipstick is really worth buying. The colour is very bold, it's perfect, especially when you're not the type who likes to apply more lipstick after eating because it's very pigmented. I really recommend you to buy this lipstick and I'd really love to collect all other colours.

Thanks for reading, I hope I'll see you soon.

OOTD : Independence Day

Saturday, August 16, 2014

Hi, butters. Today's post is gonna be ootd with (obviously) independence day as theme. Tomorrow which is August 17th is Indonesia's independence day and I'm really looking forward to it for I've planned to jog(more like brisk walk) to the Sunday market with my dad. Yay! So, back to the post, I pick red for the main colour of my outfit today as red is a part of Indonesia's national flag which is red and white. Scroll down, butters~

What I wore :
  • Red blouse. It's got a baby doll-like style and puffy sleeves. This bold and lively red piece is the main attraction of today's look.
  • Olive green parka. An army coloured parka jacket. This colour gives a veteran feel to my outfit.
  • Dirty silver necklace with leaves details. The silver cools down the bold red and keeps you from looking like you put too much effort.
  • Red and white bracelets to bring up the independence day atmosphere. I already wear red as my main outfit so I wear the white as a minor detail so I don't put too much color and contrast.
  • Black skater skirt. There's red flowers pattern on it that matches my blouse.
  • Black clutch to balance the other 2 blacks.
  • Black fisherman shoes to match my skirt.

Congratulation, you have reached the end of my ootd post. Did you notice that I always put so many photos in my ootd posts? Is it really that many, though? That is not because I'm narcissistic (you hypocrite, lol) but it's just that I take at least 50 photos for every ootd sometimes up to 100 and I just feel like it's too bad if I don't share all the best photos. So, yeah. I also want to give credit to my dad for being a great photographer for this session, haha. He has mastered my DSLR today. And I hope today's post inspires you much. Thanks for being a patient reader.
Happy Independence day again to my homeland and see you next post~

Nyx : Matte Lipstick MLS19 Euro Trash

Thursday, August 14, 2014

Hello, butters! Today, I will review about a matte lipstick from Nyx in Euro Trash.
I've got this probably half year ago and it still hasn't run out yet which is very nice.
So, check out the review below.

1.  Before (with Etude House Lip Concealer);
2. Fully applied (Indoor light); 3. Fully applied (Outdoor light)
2.
3.
Pros :
1. Cheap.
2. Matte but not drying.
3. Pigmented.
4. Cruelty free.
5. Long lasting without eating.

Cons:
1. Accentuate lip lines.
2. Weird artificial smell.
3. Thick and sticky texture.

This colour is what you call "my lips but better" colour. It's natural and very wearable. It's not drying but not too mousturizing either. Remember to scrub your lips first before applying this lipstick as it might accentuate your lip lines. It will last long if you don't eat, but you might need to apply more after meal. What's more is it's cruelty free and it looks like so are all nyx products. I love Nyx matte lipsticks and would love to purchase again. I also reviewed Nyx matte lipstick in Sable here.

I hope this review is helpful for you.
Thanks for reading and see you next time.

Etude House : Dear Darling Tint No.4 Vampire Red

Monday, August 11, 2014

Hi again, butters! Today I will review about a lip tint from Etude House! It's the Dear Darling Tint in Vampire Red (No. 4). On lazy days, I just put on some powder on my face just to absorb those oils and then I'll wear a bold lip colour. It could be a tint or a lipstick, just as long as it is bold(and/or dark) I would wear it. Because the bold colour on your lips will draw attention only to your lips, which is good for lazy days when you don't feel like wearing mascara, eyeliner, foundation and whatsoever. This cheat will make you look like you're wearing a very sheer makeup, when you're actually not (or at least in my case it works that way) and also make you look really fresh and brightened your face (bye bye washed out and pale looks).

1. Before (with Etude House Lip Concealer); 2. Applied only in center (Indoor light); 3. Fully applied (Indoor light); 4. Fully applied (Outdoor light)
2.

3.

4.
Pros :
1. Pigmented.
2. Smells sweet like grape.
3. You can blend it with other lip colour to make it bolder.
4. Cheap.

Cons :
1. A bit hard to apply on upper lip.
2. Lasting time is not long enough.
3. Have to reapply after eating.

Overall, I love this lip tint. Love the colour, the texture, the smell, moreover for its cheap price. I'd love to buy this again and I recommend you to buy this. I hope this post is helpful, keep reading my blog. Feel free to ask me questions or leave comments.
Thanks for reading and see you next time :)
