Scwharzkopf : FreshLight Foam Color Melty Cherry

Sunday, November 9, 2014

Good day, butters! I just dyed my hair 3 weeks ago and I'm loving the colour right now. So, today's post will be about the hair dye. Keep scrolling :)

What's inside?
Bubbles! (or foam)
On process

Pros :
1. Easy to use
2. No dry hair after colouring
Cons :
1. Ammonia smell
2. Quite pricey

I spent nearly 45 minutes to apply the hair dye, and I only used 3/4 of it.
I let the hair dye stayed on my hair for around 25 minutes.
Then, I rinsed my hair only with water, no shampoo, and I applied the after-color treatment. The treatment smells really nice, but I don't think it made my hair softer.

After washing and hair-drying my hair, I was hoping to get a brighter cherry brown colour (sort of a pinkish brown). If you want a brighter colour maybe you can leave the hair dye for 30-35 minutes. I don't recommend you to leave it more than 45 minutes though, 'cause I did it once and I got an awfully awful blonde colour (lol).
Compared to the colour sample on the box, my new hair colour quite resembles it, so I find it really nice. Also, my hair colour changes everytime the lighting changes too, and I think it's kinda cool.

OOTD : Choco Mint

Friday, August 8, 2014

Happy Friday, butters! The weekend is finally here again and I will share my ootd to inspire you.
Today's outfit is about neutral (chocolate/nude/brown - you decide what colour my top is, haha), and then there's this peplum detail, and mint straight skirt. Enjoy my photos~

What I wore :
  • Neutral coloured blouse. This blouse has a cute peplum detail layered with tulle. It has three quarter length sleeves which are a bit puffy at the ends. The soft brown colour and the canvas like texture create a cute natural look. I say, it also has this mori style feel.
  • Vintage necklace. Bronze-coloured with lock and key detail.
  • Coins bracelet. Bronze-coloured to match the necklace. Try to wear only one colour (ex: no eyecatching coloured gems) to avoid the -you-put-too-much-effort- look.
  • Silver watch. Silver gives a cool touch and it balances the bronze accesories.
  • Mint skirt. This is a knee-lentgh straight skirt, which means it ends at the knee and it is tight around the hips to the thighs but it is loose at the end. The skirt is the eyecatching part of the entire outfit for its bright mint colour.
  • Army green bag. The bag is from Longchamp. Army green or olive green is considered neutral so you can wear it with any colour.
  • Army green wedges. These wedges simply matched the bag.
I keep my makep soft and natural
There it is, the inspiration for your weekend style. Hope you find this helpful,
feel free to leave comments and questions for me~
Stay pretty and enjoy your weekend.
See you soon.

Nyx : Matte Lipstick MLS29 (Sable)

Sunday, July 27, 2014

Yayyy, I just got some new babies to comfort me after 2 weeks of final exam, which was very depressing.
But I've done my best and I think I should award myself. So, here they are.
Today, I am going to review this matte lipstick from Nyx.

The lipstick is a bit scraped here, probably because of the shipping.
As you can see, the colour is brown-based nude. If you are looking for an actual nude lipstick, I think this is what you're looking for. It doesn't have this pink tone, and matches my skin tone which is yellow-ish and warm. What you have to be concern about wearing this color is be careful not to look washed out. The key in wearing nude is to make sure that you put enough eyeliner and mascara or you can also match it with smokey eyes and some pink blush. And make sure you have lipbalm on your lips before wearing matte lip products.

Pros :
1. Matte but not drying
2. Very pigmented
3. Quite long lasting

Cons :
1. Smells weird
2. Accentuate lip lines (if your lips are dry)
3. Feels sticky (probly to prevent dryness)

Overall, I love this lipstick and this colour because I've been looking for brown nude for a long time, but what I got is either darker than my skin tone or is pink-toned. I'd love to purchase more colours from this collection.

Thanks for reading, butters! I hope you enjoy this post :)
