OOTD : Independence Day

Saturday, August 16, 2014

Hi, butters. Today's post is gonna be ootd with (obviously) independence day as theme. Tomorrow which is August 17th is Indonesia's independence day and I'm really looking forward to it for I've planned to jog(more like brisk walk) to the Sunday market with my dad. Yay! So, back to the post, I pick red for the main colour of my outfit today as red is a part of Indonesia's national flag which is red and white. Scroll down, butters~

What I wore :
  • Red blouse. It's got a baby doll-like style and puffy sleeves. This bold and lively red piece is the main attraction of today's look.
  • Olive green parka. An army coloured parka jacket. This colour gives a veteran feel to my outfit.
  • Dirty silver necklace with leaves details. The silver cools down the bold red and keeps you from looking like you put too much effort.
  • Red and white bracelets to bring up the independence day atmosphere. I already wear red as my main outfit so I wear the white as a minor detail so I don't put too much color and contrast.
  • Black skater skirt. There's red flowers pattern on it that matches my blouse.
  • Black clutch to balance the other 2 blacks.
  • Black fisherman shoes to match my skirt.

Congratulation, you have reached the end of my ootd post. Did you notice that I always put so many photos in my ootd posts? Is it really that many, though? That is not because I'm narcissistic (you hypocrite, lol) but it's just that I take at least 50 photos for every ootd sometimes up to 100 and I just feel like it's too bad if I don't share all the best photos. So, yeah. I also want to give credit to my dad for being a great photographer for this session, haha. He has mastered my DSLR today. And I hope today's post inspires you much. Thanks for being a patient reader.
Happy Independence day again to my homeland and see you next post~

OOTD : Playful Pastel

Saturday, August 2, 2014

Today I'm going to post more ootd and it's pastel again. But this time, it's a different pastel of course. A more colourful pastel outfit i wore to a brunch with my friend. Everytime I go for a brunch with a friend of mine, it's not really a brunch but maybe it's more like an ootd session haha. We always get dressed up and bring a dslr and then take crazy amount of photos, probably like around 500 photos per meet up haha. You bet, we're just normal girls too. So, here we go to today's ootd.

What I wore :
  • Rainbow sweater. A gift from that friend of mine when she went to LA. This is from Almost Famous. It's really comfortable, the knit is quite thick so it will warm you in a cold weather.
  • Blue boho midi skirt. Which was my mom's. I chose this skirt to match my sweater.
  • Brown bag. Mom got this for me from a local store when she went to Bandung. It can hold lots of things and 3 parts which will help you organize your things better.
  • Black fisherman shoes. Or sandals or wedges or platform. Really comfortable to wear and I also wear it here. Check it out. I bought this pair from Santini store in Melbourne.
Please enjoy more photos of me, hehe.
I hope they bring inspiration to you.

Daydreaming of the food I'm about to eat.
Chocolate butter toast and soy milk. Yum
A slight look of my makeup
Thanks for reading my post, butters.
See you next post.

OOTD : Eid Mubarak

Tuesday, July 29, 2014

Good day, butters! First thing first, I want to give Happy Eid Mubarak greetings to everyone celebrating. I hope you had a wonderful celebration with your family. So, today I will share the outfit I wore to yesterday's Eid Mubarak lunch with my big family.

My favourite Stag Necklace from Topshop

My all time favourite shoes

What I wore :
  • Green chiffon asymetric blouse from local store. This piece is very sheer, so I put on a black tanktop underneath.
  • Black slit maxi skirt from DKNY. This cotton skirt is very comfortable, it's stretchable, and the slit doesn't limit my move or keep me from being active.
  • Rainbow handbag. A bag with such colourful colours is not the easiest to wear. If you put on to many colours you might look cheap and cheesy and if you wear only one tone you might look too bland and boring. So, I choose one colour from the bag, which is green to wear as a blouse to balance my look. Of course you can wear any colour on your bag as a skirt or pants or shoes, just remember to pick only one colour. Tone down your look by matching it with a neutral colour, which is black here. This bag is from my grandma and she insist that I wear this bag. So, I decided to wear it on this special occasion and I'll say that it's actually this bag that led me to style this outfit.
  • Black fisherman shoes from Catwalk by Inniu. I can wear this anywhere to any occasions.
  • Stag necklace from Topshop. A very beautiful rosy gold necklace.
  • Silver watch from Guess. My one and only.

So, I hope this post inspires you.
Thanks for reading and see you soon, butters!
