Last Holiday : Melbourne, Day 0-1

Day 0 : Boarding and Arrival

Hi, butters..

I finally get the mood and enough will to write about my last holiday last February, when I went to Melbourne. I went there to visit my sister as well and it was a really fun one because I got to board the plane by myself. Though, I didn't find it enjoyable when I departed from Surabaya to Kuala Lumpur for a transit, because the flight was delayed for like 2 hours resulting I missed the flight from KL to Melbourne.

Fortunately I didn't miss the flight by myself, cause I would not know what to do then. I met these really nice mid 50's auntie and uncle, and they offer me to cling with them while they tried to claim compensation. Thankfully the company is willing to give us a free one night accommodation and a flight schedule for the next day (actually these kind of things aren't unexpected, as the company should be the one responsible for our miss flight). The hotel we stayed wasn't fancy of course, but it was comfortable enough to give us a good night rest after a dinner treat at a nearby small eatery by the very kind couple. They were really really kind, seriously.

A slight view of the hotel's dining area, the breakfast was quite nice
But, for the next day what made the miss flight worse was when we checked in our baggages, turned out that we got (additional) excess baggage. I got charged for 2 additional kgs, which makes my baggage exceeded 5 kgs in total. It already had exceeded 3 kgs when I board from Indonesia, but I'm not sure, maybe It was cause by the gravitation change or something making it heavier in KL. The couple was also charged for their excess baggage, while theirs weren't exceeding the quota back in Indonesia. But, what could we do, we eventually paid for the charge. Finally we got to board the plane to Melbourne, yay. It was a really long flight, I spent it reading Red Dragon while listening to mp3s. If I'm not mistaken, It was 2 pm Malaysian time, and we arrived at 12am Victoria time. And it was time to part with the really kind and really nice couple, I feel like I really owe them so much as I could only say thank you which surely wasn't enough. So I'll let people around the world know of how much this couple was so kind to me by writing here.

It was midnight, when I arrived at Tullamarine,
and I got on that bus with my sis and her boyfie.
My sister waiting for me with her worn out face, haha (with love)
I was only wearing a thin cardigan, a shirt, a blue shawl, and black tights. It was quite freezing at 12pm, didn't expect that.
First photo with my sis at Tullamarine,
and she was understanding enough to bring me this jacket,
though I was boasting it was not that cold haha.
Having arrived and met my sister and her boyfie at Tullamarine, we rushed back to get some sleep to recharge our energy for tomorrow.

Day 1 : Jam Factory

On the first day, we went to Jam Factory, in Chapel Street, South Yarra. There were shops, restaurants, and cinema. The place was very spacious as there weren't many visitors that time. I looked around at topshop, and found a really cute stag necklace. Since I started watching Hannibal, I have this weird craze over stag stuffs, haha, so of course I had to buy the necklace. And I got a lipstick too, that I already reviewed here. After a little shopping and a lot of time spent window shopping, I had paella from Nandos for lunch. Nandos brings us Portuguese cooking and it was nice and unique, for it was my first time having such meal.

Stag necklace (looks gold here, but it's rosy gold)
Paella (tasted nice :9)

Gacha machine for necklaces and earings (cute)

There's a Photobooth too.
Sis' boyfie said this was a factory before it became a shopping centre.
I wonder? This was probably a chimney?

Nando's

I just happen to like taking pictures with movies' posters (haha)
Sooo, do I have british skin now?
I find restroom selfie is necessary
For dinner, we dropped by Chapelli's for a carbonara and pizza. We were catching up the tram, so we had to take our meals out. I love the pasta and the pizza, well, no one can hate both right?

Pizzaaaaa!
Sorry for the disturbing picture. I just want to show you how delicious the pizza was.
The street at night. Lights!
And then, we headed back home to prepare for tomorrow~

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy this post.
Please look forward for Day 2 post.

OOTD : Black on Black

Saturday, September 13, 2014

Hi, butters!
Today's ootd will be what I wore for my trip to Melbourne last February.
Here's my ootd day 1. Scroll down, please~

What I wore :
  • Black sweater. I wore it inside my jacket. I really needed to keep myself warm on the first day before I adapt to the extreme weather change.
  • Black windbreaker jacket. Break them winds!
  • Beige shawl with glittery stars print. They're not too thick but enough to warm my neck.
  • Striped bag. I like big bags, I can put anything there hehe.
  • Black pants with swallow print. Although they're actually maternity pants (yes, I accidentally bought them), they're pretty comfortable to wear (so I got that going for me). It keeps me warm and I feel like I'm in my pj's when I'm wearing these without making me look like I'm about to hit the bed, though.
  • Orange loafers. Very comfortable to walk in for a street walker (or runner cause I catch trams and buses and trains too).
If you're curious to where I went on the first day in Melbourne, please follow me, subscribe, add me to your circle, or anything. Because I'll be posting about the Melbourne vacation soon.
Thank you for being a nice reader, feel free to come back anytime.
See you soon.

OOTD : KPP Inspired ( Back to school?)

Friday, September 5, 2014

Butters! Today I will post an ootd inspired by KPP which stands for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. She's probably the most bizarre Japanese idol but in a cute way. And by cute, I mean she's really really cute, just google her or peek at her instagram. Her look I'm going to imitate today is from her instagram, and I thought It's got this back to school kinda feel, so it's cool because you can wear this outfit to class. I also think that it is beach approved. Scroll down below to see how I recreate her look~

What I wore :
  • Fake bangs (is it obvious?). Sometimes when I watch KPP videos on youtube, It makes me want to cut my bangs but I keep reminding myself how I struggle to grow these long bangs I have now, so I eventually decided to buy a fake one.
  • White wayfarer. Mine has floral pattern that gives a summer-y touch.
  • Black dress from Factorie. A black dress is really wearable with any accessories. See here to wear it with different style.
  • Pastel backpack from Juice Ematic. Well, it's backpack, simply put everything you need in it and you're good to go. Very practical.
  • Pink jelly sandals from Sports Girl. This pair isn't the most comfortable choice if you need to catch a plane, or run really fast somewhere because it might scratch your feet. But for city tour, I find it comfortable enough, and it's also apropriate for a beach stroll because the jelly material sure won't get wet by the water. Just becareful for it might be slippery.
I want to apologize in advance if I don't post frequently in the future, because school is starting next week. But, I'll keep as much as I can to update. I still have this Melbourne trip I really want to share with you, so I guess please look forward to this Melbourne post. I hope today's post inspires you. Thanks for reading.
See you soon on the next post.

NYX : Soft Matte Lip Cream SMLC01 Amsterdam

Wednesday, September 3, 2014

Hello, butters! Today I will be reviewing about a red shade lip colour. I love to wear a bright colour as this one whenever I don't feel like wearing any eye makeup. Vivid lip colours will steal the spotlight from your eyes and they actually make your face appear brighter and fresher. So, if you're happy and you know it wear red lips~

1. Before (with Etude House Lip Concealer); 2. Fully applied (Indoor light); 3. Fully applied (Outdoor light)
2.
3.
Pros :
1. Pigmented
2. Vivid colour
3. Good lasting power
4. Not drying
5. Affordable

Cons :
1. Can't really find any cons

Overall, I really love this product. The colour is a pinkish red. Its matte texture is really light to wear and it's got nice price too (around $8). Although it's matte, it might leaves stain on straw and stuffs probably because of it's bold colour. I'd recommend you to buy this lip cream because it's really nice. I'd love to buy more colours too.

Hope this post is helpful for you.
Thanks for reading and see you next post~

Revlon : Just Bitten Lip stain+Balm Crave/Envie

Monday, September 1, 2014

Hello, butters! I hope you had a good day today because I did. Having apple pie for breakfast actually really made my day, haha, and then I also had strawberry cheesecake for snack which tasted soo heavenly (take a peek on my instagram if you're curious :p). Okay, what I'm gonna review today is a lipstain from Revlon Just Bitten, what's more is that this lip stain doesn't only have stain but also a balm to prevent your lips from drying. So, here's a review on Just Bitten Lip stain+Balm in Crave/Envie from Revlon~

1. Before (with Etude House Lip Concealer); 2. Applied only in center (Indoor light); 3. Fully applied+balm (Indoor light); 4. Fully applied +balm (Outdoor light)
2.
3.
4.
Pros :
1. Great lasting power!
2. Not drying.
3. Lovely colour.

Cons :
1. Bit hard to apply.

This stain is very nice. I love it for its really long lasting aspect (only applies if you put enough layer though). You don't have to worry if you still have colours on your lips after eating greasy foods because it stays there or at least there's still a hint of pink that I don't feel the need to apply more stain. What I don't really like is the marker like applicator. I have to put more effort applying it, but I guess it's worth the lasting power. Just don't forget to apply the balm to avoid dry lips. I's recommend you to buy this product ;)

It's time to part again, I hope you find this post helpful.
See yo next post~
